Endocytosis with Multicolor TIRFM

Endocytosis is a phenomenon by which a cell takes up molecular matter via invaginations on the cell surface that pinch from the plasma membrane and move inside the cell. Understanding the intricacies of endocytosis more completely is thus of crucial importance for cell biologists, and has many applications ranging from cell invasion of pathogens to uptake of hormones and growth factors into cells.
