SpecEM System Principles of Operation (Technical Note)

The general operation of the MAG Biosystems™ SpecEM™ spectrometer head is shown in Figure 1. Emission light from the microscope is imaged onto an aperture, located at the image plane. This results in only a single slice of the image passing into the system.
